Classic Rock disCOVERy Series – Two Hours Traffic

Charlottetown band Two Hours Traffic covered a Rock n’ Soul shot classic by The Four Tops. They brought in a couple acoustic guitars and an Omnichord…a what! An Omnichord. I have ever seen this instrument before. It is like a keyboard/synth/keytar hybrid. Check out the pic below and listen to the sweet sounds here. We chat about the unusual instrument during the interview. Enjoy!

Classic Rock disCOVERy Series – Yukon Blonde

Yukon Blonde just won Alternative Group of the Year at the Canada Music Week Indie Awards. This Vancouver band did a great job covering all six minutes of “Suite Judy Blue Eyes”. During the interview I also found out that we have a little something in common and that would be our love of Hall and Oates. Okay, Hall and Oates is more like classic pop but how can you deny Oates moustache? Yukon Blonde fun fact: They covered Hall and Oates “You Make My Dreams Come True” at Dan Mangan’s wedding.

Classic Rock disCOVERy Series – Kevin Myles Wilson

Kevin Myles Wilson and Trisha Smith stopped by Q107 to cover Letting You Go by Tom Petty. This absolutely adorable pair also performed a couple orginal tunes including the “earworm” Just A Kiss and a brand new song inspired by Tom Petty called Lonely. If you get a chance to see Kevin Myles Wilson live, you won’t be able to take your eyes off of the stage.
